When CFL HK’s IT Director, Terry Leung, began planning an ERP upgrade, he quickly identified a critical gap between the new system and the company’s quality and inspection workflows. Feedback from the TQM team revealed that the existing process—requiring inspectors to log into the company VPN to upload Excel-based inspection reports was consuming excessive time and bandwidth. “Because our ERP system is internal, inspectors had to connect through our office VPN to submit files, which became especially slow when reports included photos and videos,” said Leung.
As consumer product lifecycles continue to accelerate, CFL HK recognized that staying competitive meant enabling faster, more efficient inspections. Modernizing the inspection process became a key step in helping their customers bring products to market more quickly.

Because the factory receives the inspection report immediately once it’s submitted in TradeBeyond’s Inspection solution—even when an inspection fails—they can act quickly to correct issues, saving a significant amount of time.
